Counseling for Infidelity
Infidelity can be one of the most challenging situations a couple can go through. It is also one that most people find uncomfortable to discuss and extremely difficult to seek help for. We have helped countless couples recover from the devastation and heartache of infidelity and as a result, we feel that we have a pretty good understanding of the challenges you may be facing. We sincerely want to help you. We specialize in helping individuals and couples navigate this extremely painful and confusing path of healing and recovery.

When an infidelity occurs and is subsequently discovered by the spouse or partner, emotions typically go through the roof. There is shame, anger, embarassment, guilt, frustration, and an overwhelming sense of hopelessness and helplessness. The partner who had the affair may not be sure of whether he or she wants to stay and work on the relationship. They may be stuck in that confusing place where the grass looks greener on the other side of the fence. They may be overwhelmed with guilt and shame, wondering how they got to the point that they could actually hurt the person they thought they loved so  much - perhaps more than any other person or thing. The spouse or partner who discovered the affair may be in shock, wondering how this even happened, wondering who he or she should tell, wondering if they should leave the person - temporarily or permanently. They may be wondering if anything about the relationship is actually true, feeling as if the marriage is just one big lie. They may also wonder if they might have been infected with a STD. They may also be wondering if their partner actually loves the person with whom he or she had the affair. They may also be wondering if the relationship can actually survive, if trust can ever be restored, and if they can ever forgive the person who cheated. Finally, they may both be wondering if anything can help at this point.

These are just some of the comments and questions we hear every day from individuals and couples that are dealing with infidelity in their relationship. We truly want to help you as you begin to answer these incredibly difficult questions and hopefully decide to begin the journey of healing.
