Mens Issues
The mens issues group is a place where men can gather to discuss life issues that impact them at work, school, and in the home. It is a group where any issue can be put on the table and virtually no topic is off limits. Men today are struggling with the challenges of relationshps, providing financially for their family in economically troubled times, balancing responsibilities of home and work, and becoming the best husbands and fathers that they possibly can. The goal of this group is to provide a safe place where men can come together, encourage and strengthen one another, and discuss the challenges of life as a man in the 21st century.
Womens Issues
Similat to the mens issues group, the womens issues group is a place where women can gather to discuss issues that impact them as women in contemporary society. A variety of issues will be discussed and all issuses and topics are fair game for discussion. Topics may include such things as balancing responsibilies of career, motherhood, and marriage; career challenges for women working in a man's world; the decision to work or be a stay-at-home mother; self-esteem and body image; challenges associated with menopause; dynamics of being a single parent; and dealing with the pressures of perfection. This group is a place where women can find compassion, validation, encouragement, and support from other women facing many of the same issues and challenges.
College Age - Life and Career
Young adulthood can be a time of great uncertainty, stress, and unyielding pressure. From making decisions regarding career and relationships to balancing an active social life with the demands of school and work, this can be one of the most difficult times in a person's life. This group is a place where young people can come together anddiscuss these issues with encouragement, support, and without fear of exclusion, isolation, and ridicule. Although a group for college-age men and women, participants do not have to be in college to attend. This group is equally valuable to those who work full-time or who are in the military.
